The Walking Dead, season 7, episode 6 recap: whatever happened to Heath and Tara?

The Walking Dead takes place after the onset of a worldwide zombie apocalypse. The zombies, colloquially referred to as "walkers", shamble towards living humans and. The official site of AMC's original series The Walking Dead. Get the latest news, photos, video extras and more.

Assuming they weren’t party to Morgan’s plans – and judging by their stunned expressions they evidently weren’t – why didn’t someone from the Kingdom step in and rescue Richard? It took forever for Morgan, whose idea of a deadly weapon is a elongated stick, to finish off Ezekiel’s most valued sidekick. Surely one of the many heavily armed onlookers could have interrupted? We’ll miss Benjamin – but his death was in no way a shock. The grumpier you are on The Walking Dead, the better your chances of making it to the final credits. Thus it was a foregone conclusion Benjamin, with his generous manner, youthful optimism and excellent curls, was not long for this scorched- earth.

Credit to the show for at least choosing its moment with care. We may have known Benjamin, trainee walker- killer and protege to Ezekiel, had a death sentence dangling – but who thought he’d meet his maker as the Kingdom and the Saviours engaged in usual tedious back- and- forths? Carol is back – and means business. Carol (Melissa Mc. Bride) couldn’t sleep so she did what any of us would – sought out the nearest zombie infestation and cut down a swathe of the horrors armed only with a handily upended road sign (so predictable Carol, so predictable). Having sworn off violence last season, she was clearly shaken by her reunion with Daryl. In one of this week's most powerful scenes she was pushed completely over the edge as Morgan called with the sad news of Glenn and Abraham’s demise.

Or at least they will be as soon as she’s finished helping Ezekiel restore his blighted garden (as we've learned this series, if there is one thing Carol enjoys more than feeling sorry for herself it is mucking about in an allotment). Watch Spy Online (2017).
